Adobe Express

Making high-quality content creation fast—and accessible to everyone

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

The challenge

Creative tools were powerful—but increasingly out of reach.

Adobe is known for industry-leading software, but much of it requires:

  • Time to learn

  • Technical skill

  • Creative confidence

At the same time, a new audience was emerging:

  • Marketers

  • Small business owners

  • Social creators

  • Teams moving at the speed of content

They didn’t want to become designers.
They wanted to create—quickly, and well.

Adobe Express needed to bridge that gap—without diluting the brand.

The insight

The barrier to creativity isn’t talent.
It’s friction.

When tools are too complex, people hesitate.
When creation is easy, people experiment, iterate, and publish.

The opportunity wasn’t to simplify creativity.
It was to remove everything that slows it down.

The idea

Position Adobe Express as the fastest path from idea to content.

An all-in-one platform that collapses the creative process
—design, video, social, and AI into a single, intuitive experience.

Not “lightweight Adobe.”
A new category of creative tool built for speed and accessibility.

The approach

1. Reframe the audience
Adobe Express isn’t for professional designers—it’s for everyone else.
We shifted the narrative from expertise to empowerment, positioning the product as a tool for anyone who needs to create.

2. Lead with immediacy
From templates to one-click actions, the experience emphasizes speed:

  • Thousands of templates to start instantly

  • Drag-and-drop editing

  • One-click resizing across platforms

Making creation feel less like work—and more like momentum.

3. Make AI feel useful, not intimidating
With generative AI built into the platform, users can:

  • Generate images from text

  • Remove backgrounds instantly

  • Edit and enhance content with minimal effort

The focus wasn’t on the technology itself—
but on what it enables: faster, better creative output.

4. Build a system for modern content creation
Adobe Express brings together:

  • Design

  • Video

  • Social publishing

  • Brand management

Into a single workflow—so users can create, adapt, and distribute content without switching tools.

The experience

A unified platform that:

  • Enables fast creation across formats—social posts, videos, flyers, and more

  • Combines templates, AI tools, and brand systems into one interface

  • Supports creation anywhere—desktop or mobile

  • Bridges the gap between professional-grade output and everyday usability

The result is a tool that doesn’t just help people create—
it helps them keep up with the pace of modern content.

The Takeaway

Creativity isn’t limited by ideas.
It’s limited by how fast you can execute them.

This project wasn’t about simplifying creative tools.
It was about removing the barriers between thinking—and making.

Tutorial Animations

To draw in the audiences that were turning to Canva over Adobe Express, we developed a series of animations to showcase the product’s ease of use. These assets live on Adobe Express’s UK landing page.
